Breckenridge Ski Resort Gearing Up for the Dew Tour

Breckenridge, CO – The Mountain Weekly News got exclusive access to the site that will be home to the first stop on the 2010 Winter Dew Tour.

Breckenridge is excited to have the Winter Dew Tour come to town December 16-19 for it third year in a row. New this year is a 22 Foot Half-Pipe topping last years 18 foot pipe, the Mountain Weekly News was invited to get photos of the Brecks snowmaking crew building the pipe as well as setting up the slope style course.

The Dew Tour will be the place to see the best local and national skiers and snowboarders. On Friday December 17th The Cool Kids will be performing a concert at the Riverwalk in Breckenridge, tickets are $20 and can be purchased online and in town. The Dew Tour festival village will be open daily at 8 am with events running until 4 pm. Thursday and Friday will be prelims and qualifying rounds, Saturday will host the Superpipe finals as well as the women’s Slopestyle prelims, Sunday will be the Slopestyle Finals.

The Mountain Weekly News is excited to be covering the Dew Tour and will be your online source for coverage of events and competitors. The Dew Tour will also hit Killington Vermont January 20-23 and will wrap up in Ogden Utah February 10-13. The event will be televised on NBC and their affiliates check your local channels for coverage.
