Living For a Song A Tribute to Hank Cochran Album Review

Jamey Johnson’s newest album, Living For a Song: A Tribute to Hank Cochran, is refreshingly awesome for a country album, and a solid addition to any music library. For someone like myself who rarely listens to Country music, I can still appreciate a good album and Johnson delivers in strides. The sixteen track album boasts guest features on all songs, ranging from Allison Kraus to Elvis Costello to Willie Nelson and many more talented folks!

The album itself has great music ensembles and varies song to song, giving the listener some entertaining guitar, piano, and fiddle riffs and solos. If you or someone you know enjoys legit Country music you need to get this album for yourself or them.

I’m currently on my second listen through of the album, and remember, I’m not even a big fan of Country music.
