McDonald’s Sponsoring Vail Youth Festival
Vail, Colorado – This years Vail Soul Youth Day Music and Mentoring Program is being sponsored by, sit down for this one – McDonald’s. According to a recent press release we received McDonald’s will “provide delicious breakfast and dinner for all Youth.. McDonald’s of Colorado is pleased to again partner with the 2012 Vail Soul Music Festival to further demonstrate our commitment to the Colorado community and support culture awareness in our youth,†said Geta Asfaw, local McDonald’s Owner/operator. “Our local owners believe wholeheartedly in the importance of educating our youth and through initiatives like Youth Day Music and Mentoring Program, we can together bring new opportunities and experiences for our great state’s leaders of tomorrow.â€
How about educating youth to stay away from fast food? You want your kid to look like this?
And don’t get me started on the fact McDonald’s has been using “slime” as fillers in their products as reported by ABC News. What about all the hundreds of local business in the Vail Valley and in Colorado that would have loved to have participated in the Vail Youth Festival as sponsors, why on earth choose McDonald’s?
