Music News: Stephen Kellogg and The Sixers Vilar Performing Arts Center
Beaver Creek, Colorado – The Vilar Performing Arts Center hosted the first of many shows in its â€œUnderground Soundâ€ series with a concert by Stephen Kellogg and The Sixers. Hailing mostly from the north east the â€œSixersâ€ brought a soul inspired rock nâ€™ roll sound reminiscent to that of “The Band” and “Van Morrison”. The small crowd of loyal â€œSK6ERSâ€ as they call themselves, jumped to their feet and danced to the Sixers new hit song â€œThe Bearâ€.
The band itself showed of its musical talents by switching instruments throughout the evenings performance. Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers are currently on the tour promoting there new live album “Live From the Heart”. The tour is being called “The Amazing Fall Tour”, one “amazing” aspect of this tour is going to be the support acts joing the sixers on the road inclduing Audra Mae, The Small Ponds, Sara Watkins, Aslyn and Roy Jay.
All “Amazing Fall Tour” dates will include pre-show meet & greet and a two song acoustic set for Sixertown members. Sixertown is Stephen Kellogg and The Sixers new fan club. Along with the private acoustic set, members will recieve a VIP Laminate, exclusive Sixertown T-shirt, and VIP seating when available.The Vilar Performing Arts Center â€œUnderground Soundâ€ series will continue through the fall, bringing such acts as Martin Sexton and Elephant Revival. For $99 patrons can purchase a series pass which allows access to all â€œUnderground Soundâ€ concerts and one complimentary drink per show.
