Local Vail Dr. Charles Tuft Dies Skiing
Vail, Colorado – It is with great sadness that we have to report on the following story. Charles Tuft a 62 year old doctor practicing in the Vail valley has died in a skiing accident on Vail Mountain. The Denver Post is reporting “He died after going off an embankment on a beginner run, said Jessie Mosher, a spokeswoman with the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.
Doctor Tuft was the Chief of Emergency Medicine at Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center, Denver from 1984-1997 and was even a Everest Expedition Physician. I had the chance to meet and work with Dr. Tuft through Alpine Mobile Physicians a mobile home care business he founded in Vail, Colorado.
