The story behind Perky Jerky starts like many a good stories with two self proclaimed jerks living in a ski lodge. After a long night of partying on a mixture of energy drinks and booze, the two settled in to get some rest while a massive snowstorm dumped outside. The next morning the guys awoke, packed their gear and headed to Snowbird, UT to play in fresh snow. Along with their ski and snowboard gear was a bag of beef jerky that had some how been doused with the energy drink from night before.

Being true ski bums they decided to eat the beef jerky on the chairlift ride to the top of the mountain. The guys were surprised to find the beef jerky had retained it’s original flavor and had become extremely tender. After a ripping run down the mountain and the extra perk from the energy drink a new product was born, Perky Jerky

Perky Jerky was recently interviewed by Forbes giving insight into founder Brian Levin’s stunning entrepreneurship streak. Levin founded Perky Jerky after impressive work with Grey Goose vodka and the ever popular TV show American Idol. With great marketing and a tasty product Perky Jerky sales are on the rise.

Everyone that we had sample the Perk Jerky was amazed, all you had to do was watch how quick they came back to the bag for seconds. Perky Jerky is going to be a hit with the action sports community. The snack is delicious, healthy and gives you a little extra pep on your step.

Overall Perky Jerky offers a mouth watering snack that taste amazing. The peppers pack some punch and with the smoothness of the tender meat it’ a perfect combination. I wish I could find a steak that tasted this good!! The major beef jerky companies better take note, as this is not the rubbery leather jerky we have been accustomed to over the years. A perfect snack for a day on the water wakeboarding, and im sure will be a staple in my backcountry pack this winter!!
