Phish Telluride Colorado
Telluride, CO – Jamband rockers Phish have returned to the town of Telluride almost 20 years since the last time the band played the town of Telluride in 1988. Fast forward 20 years and the crowd, the town and the music have all changed since Phish’s concert in the 80′s. Most Phish fans are grown up with families, full time jobs and responsibilities. The casual Phish fan was not in attendance as this was one of the hardest concert tickets to find. People from across the globe converged on the small Victorian mining town of Telluride Colorado to celebrate the music of Phish and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.
The band came out firing with Mike Gordon’s thumping the bass lines on the opener Down with Disease with Trey seemingly directing the lyrics at the fans “Up before the dawn, A thousand barefoot children outside dancing on my lawn….” Phish then went on to bust out Camel Walk a song that many fans have been chasing for years. The first set ended with a strong son selection of Stash, Cavern, The Wedge, Possum and Julius..

Second set was why I go to see Phish!!! The guys had a stunning selection of music played played by some of the most talented musicians on this planet. By the time they got to David Bowie the entire crowd had been dancing non stop for over an hour. Phish encored with Quinn The Eskimo a tribute to Both Bob Dylan and Jerry Garcia and then wrapped things up with a lighting fast Tweezer Reprise.
