Colorado Buffaloes vs Sacramento State Hornets
University of Colorado hosted Sacramento State on historic Folsom Field for their home opener. The buffaloes have an extremely young team with only eight seniors and 42 true freshmen. Colorado has the fourth youngest team in the country. Both of the starting defensive corners are true freshmen.
Sacramento won the toss and elected to defer to the second half.

This completed the first half with a score of Buffaloes 21 Hornets 24.
The second half started with Ralphie leading the Colorado buffaloes back onto the field. Ralphie, the school mascot, can run a 40 in 4 seconds. With that kind of speed and power of this Buffalo it could play several positions.

â€¢ (SAC) #58 Runkeyon, with one second left in the game, kicked the game-winning field goal. This drive was kept alive with two pass interference calls against the buffaloes.
The final score was the Buffaloes 28 the Hornets 30.
