Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort Receives 39 Inches of Snow
LAS VEGAS, NV – It has been an incredible start to the 2011-2012 ski season for the Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort, the small resort located just minutes away from the strip was the first to open in the country and recently got pounded with 39″ of snow from a storm that started on Wednesday.
With a current base of roughly 56 inches the mountain is in great shape, with more snowfall expected to continue through the weekend. LVSSR opened for the season on Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, a week ahead of schedule, due to increased snowmaking capacity and a series of early winter storms.
Heading to Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics show and need a break from the tech world? I know I sure will and plan to take a day at this great hidden gem.
All about surfing, snowboarding, my dog, and live music.
