Vail Mountain Ski Resort Powder Days

EAGLE COUNTY, CO – The most recent storm system has been very friendly to us here in Happy Valley with Beaver Creek reporting nine new inches up top this morning. Along with Vail Mountain Ski Resort there has been new snow everyday in the high country since Tuesday, stacking up fluffy powder onto the old base. North-facing slopes are holding the new stuff very well, as the consistent wind loaded north and east facing slopes to levels approaching waist deep (and I’m 6’3″) in the Vail Pass area as of two days ago.

The sun is shining now, but there is a slight chance of snow through the weekend and all of next week. This skier is sadly fighting off a case of Strep Throat and not able to ski today, but would recommend heading out into the snow to anyone with the chance!
