Day #1 of the North Face Masters Crystal Mountain has been completed. The weather started to move in, mid-way thru the mens qualifier heat. Riders didn’t seem to mind and everyone was showing there skills on the impressive venue.

Now I know sort of what the Olympic pros feel like when they are about to drop, butterflies can be fun.

Shannan Yates, winner at Snowbird and rides as hard if not harder then most of the guys. She was charging as usual.

Kingwell, Backstrom and Hudson some heavy hitters in the North Face Masters Crystal Mountain contest.

The morning started out nice but the clouds and snow soon rolled in. I’m psyched tomorrows gonna be a powder day!!

Matt Clark from Squaw billy goated some tough lines

Big thanks goes out to Gags at Never Summer Snowboards for letting me borrow his SL!! The boards ride amazing for the North Face Master Crystal Mountain..

While on the subject of the TNF Masters Tour I was able to compete at one stop this year which ended up being Crystal Mountain, WA. Competitor and film maker Brock Butterfield made the following video but forgot to add my name, what the hell Brock? Check out my steezy 360 at the 22 second mark in the video riding along side the best big mountain contest snowboarder in the world this year, Brandon Reid. All kidding aside Brock did a great job on the video and is a new addition to the Never Summer family.
