DENVER, CO – Nine Inch Nails and Jane’s Addiction returned to Denver, CO to perform together at Fidler’s Green during the NINJA Tour. Both bands were popular in the 90’s when rock-n-roll seemed to be picking up mainstream attention.
Nowadays the music industry focuses on crap commercialism, it was great to see 2 bands from the 90’s playing strong and proving that rock music is here to stay!! Hopefully the youth of tomorrow will listen with their ears and not with their eyes..
Nine Inch Nails (NIN) opened the show and boy did they bring the power rock to Colorado. Huge guitar riffs, pounding beats and a front man, Trent Rezner that was belting out spooky tunes. The combo of lights, smoke and heavy rock-n-roll really turned me into a fan.
I always thought the band was more industrial rock, and never really gave them much of a listen ~ one of the unfortunate things about labeling music. Boy was I wrong, the rock music played loud for a few hours before it was time for Jane’s Addiction to take the stage.
If you were to stereotype a rockstar, or rockstars Jane’s Addiction might come to mind. Perry Farrell, Dave Navaro, and Stephen Perkins are as rock star as them come, both on and off the stage. Sex, Drugs and Rock-N-Roll easily sums theses guys up, along with being incredible musicians that like to indulge.. They belted hit after hit and gave the middle age women some sweet dreams that night.
Nine Inch Nail and Jane’s Addiction were a great combo touring together, in light of the recent economy I think were going to see more band co-heading shows and touring together.. It makes sense~!
