DENVER, CO -This past weekend the 16th annual Skylab, promoted by the Triad Dragons was the place to be if you liked space themed electronic music dance parties. Skylab held at the Denver Coliseum had 3 stages setup with music going from 7pm – 3am. The Mountain Weekly News was on hand to cover the event and get our groove on.
Promoter Triad Dragons are familiar with large dance parties, they host the mega Global Dance Festival each year at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Skylab had a similar vibe to the Global Dance Festival, with lots of lights, electronic DJ’s and people dancing. The only difference would have been the main stage at Skylab looked like a spaceship with glowing arms of light.

Various dancers from across the country came dressed in space themed costumes and traditional rave clothing. DJs included Ferry Corsten, Bad Boy Bill, Dieselboy, DJ Nori, Rumble Junkie, Wolfgang Gartner and my personal favorite DJ MLE. Not only is she a killer DJ, but also she has an amazing stage presence and she is breathtakingly beautiful to boot.
Denver Coliseum employees mentioned that they would be having more events like this in the future. Skylab was a success and the venue needs more events so its a win/win situation for both the Denver Coliseum and the promoter Triad Dragons. Look for more dance parties in Colorado coming up throughout the following year.
