DENVER, CO – Widespread Panic rolled into town on December 30th to kick off their 2-day New Year’s Eve stand at the Pepsi Center. The band got things started with a fitting and extended cover of Tom Waits’ “Goin’ Out West”, followed by “Big Wooly Mammoth”, an obvious nod to the snowstorm and frigid temperatures gripping the city the day of the show.

Other first set highlights included a “Good People”, “Dark Bar” sandwich and the frequent but always enjoyable “Fishwater” closer.
The band eased into the second set with “Saint Ex” into “Chilly Water” and back into “Saint Ex”. The band was then joined by David Bromberg on guitar for “Old Neighborhood” and “Use Me.”
