The Dakine Pulse II Jacket was an essential layer to keep in my bag regardless of my adventure. Fish, hike, bike, ski you name it the Pulse II from Dakine is a solid outer layer for fashionable days, and après, but, in my opinion, an even better beneath-the-shell layer.
While DWR coated, this isn’t the jacket to keep you dry in the rain, and while made with nylon ripstop fabric, it’s also not for chugging through dense trees. It’s got all the bells and whistles you’d expect for a basic synthetic jacket; pockets, elastic waist and cuffs, and a reliable YKK zipper.
What sets this jacket apart from others is that it has a nice contour fit. The sleeves and torso are designed to fit beneath a jacket. It isn’t a Euro-fit, it’s just a little less bulky than a down jacket of a similar warmth level.
Other highlights are that it is made with 70% post-consumer material so you can feel great wearing it, and it won’t break your budget.
For $150.00, it’ll last you many seasons…worth it!
