Parrot AR.Drone 2.0 Review
Parrot has just unveiled the latest from its drone family- the Parrot AR. Drone 2.0.
There had been rumors that Parrot is ready to launch its new product by January 2013 and now it is actually ready to take flight.
The new quadricopter is neater and sleeker than its predecessor.
A tougher hull helps to make sure that it has more protection.
It is easier to handle with your android and iOS systems and has better cameras for more precise filming.
Features of the Parrot AR.Drone
The quadricopter comes with a front HD camera of 720p/30fps. It has a wide angle lens with a 92 degree diagonal which helps it view a wider area.
The H264 encoding base profile and low latency streaming makes sure that there is less video stutter. You can store the streaming video as the drone flies, on your device.
It also has a 720p photo capture that gives you outstanding aerial shots.
With the new Heads Up Display on the Parrot Ar.Drone you can take pictures, join the Drone flying community, attain regular updates for your device and micro manage a whole lot of applications on your android or iOS devices.
You can maneuver the quadricopter by just tilting your device to change directions and straightening it to stabilize.
It comes with a whole riot of flight settings where you can control the altitude, speed, tilt, etc. with a touch of your finger.
Enhanced connectivity, control, and stability on the Parrot AR.Drone
The new product from Parrot has an excellent WiFi N connection that allows you to control it when it is almost 165 feet away.
In real terms, that is just a dot in terms of total distance.
But with the ultra-sensitive camera and rotators, you know exactly where you are heading by just viewing the flight path on your device.
The quadricopter is programmed with a new, smarter algorithm, and pressure sensors that help it send back altitude measurements and other flight data making it easier for the operator to hover over different terrain and conditions.
It has a new gyroscope and a 3D compass for better maneuvering and reference.
The Parrot Ar.Drone will have you flying like a pro in no time at all!
