A few years ago I traded in my snowboard for skis, hell bent on getting out into the backcountry on something other than a rickety, unstable splitboard. Frustrated with the process that equalled assembling a wheelchair at the top of the mountain and riding something just as ridiculous down questionable terrain, I gave skiing a chance.
However, thanks to the Jones Carbon Solution Splitboard, I’ve been happy to quit the knee wrenching chore that is required on two planks, and gotten back to surfing the white stuff like the Gods of Snow intended.

Jones Carbon Solution Review
The Jones Carbon Solution is the result of extensive testing and tinkering by…well, we all know who, Mr. Jeremy Jones.
With a hybrid rocker/camber flex pattern that gives more rocker in the tip and a slight camber between the bindings, the Solution provides marvelous float, stability, and quick response. The tail is also slightly rockered, which means you won’t get hung up on zipper crust and can land switch like a boss.
Joe Timlin talks about the Jones Snowboards Line.
Made from an FSC® wood core and directional carbon top sheet, this ride is light, enabling you to conquer the day with as many laps as possible. The carbon stringers allow a much-appreciated stiffness and nimble handling to the board, making it über responsive. With 35 percent more steel in the magne-traction edge, you’ll slice through uneven terrain without hesitation.
The blunt nose of the Solution is designed to keep you floating, and hopefully laughing while you make the backcountry your bitch.
If you have any doubts to immediately purchasing this life-changing ride, the Jones Carbon Solution Splitboard ($1,349) also won the Backcountry Magazine’s Editors Choice Award and is the chosen tool for backcountry genies like Mr. Jones himself.
