The North Face Steep Series Snomad 26L is one of better ski specific packs I have ever used. I’ve guided, and skied recreationally with the Snomad 26 and I have continued to be impressed with its form and function. This backpack is sick!
Snomad 26L Backpack Review
Being marketed as a minimal ski tour pack at 26 liters I was able to still stuff: shovel, saw, probe, crystal card, helmet, goggles, rescue sled, extra gloves, crampons, ice axe, insulated shell, small Nalgene, 2 bagel sandwiches and few bars. This is a pretty normal load for me and not only was I able to fit all of this but I was able to carry this load comfortably.
With lumpy objects such as a Helmet and Nalgene I was surprised how well the back panel kept an even surface on my back. The zippers held well being stuff to the gills. Made with ballistic grade nylon this pack can take a beating and keep on trucking. I highly recommend this pack to anyone looking for a pack to suit most missions.
The North Face Snomad 26L Features:

26 too small? Don’t worry the Snomad comes in a 34L as well for those heavier loads or rope specific objectives.
