NOW O-Drive Bindings Review
While they are a notably stiff binding, they still have a fair amount of flex with NOWs’ skate technology. The straps are comfortable and come with the quick-adjust system for on-hill adjustments.
Most of NOWs’ bindings are skate/surf-influenced and a bit more playful, so if you are going big and want something that is still playful in pow, these are absolutely perfect.
Because of NOWs’ innovative baseplate technology, your foot sits more level with the board giving you more edge control while you ride and helping to eliminate foot pain. When mounted with the traditional four screw system you can really feel the difference while riding in all conditions.
Along with the bindings comes a package of stickers, bushings to add shock absorption depending on conditions, a handy on mountain, versatile skate-type tool, a lifetime warranty, and even baseplates which work for the EST interface as well as the traditional four-hole system.
My favorite part about these bindings is their versatility. While they are some of the stiffest bindings on the market, they still give you at surfy feel when riding pow and they are more than functional for the variable conditions we have had up in the Pacific Northwest as of late.
I give these bindings and 11/10 and urge you to go read up on NOW bindings and find yourself the right pair, cause these things are certified badass.
NOW is certainly changing the game in binding technology, and they are doing it in an innovative and classy way. Pair the NOW O – Drive Bindings ($499) with a solid board, and you’ve got a match made in heaven.
