The Outdoor Research Men’s Filament Jacket is very packable and has an outstanding warmth to weight ratio. The Large size only weighs in at 7.3 ounces. A great feature on the Outdoor Research Filament Pullover is the inside out chest pocket which acts as the jacket’s own stuff sack.
Outdoor Research Filament Down Jacket Review
The DWR treated, 10D Pertex Quantum fabric is water resistant, rare in down insulation. The Outdoor Research Filament Hooded Jacket also has very fitting bottom hem and cuffs making this a great under layer piece as well as the main layer. I enjoyed having it in my pack for backcountry excursions and also walking around town.
Some say that the shiny fabric is more European and not so much their style but it depends on the person. The trim fit is true to size when on but the half zipper can make it difficult to “pullover”.
• Water Resistant
• 1/2 Length Front Zipper
• Zippered Napoleon Pocket
• Chest Pocket Doubles as Stuff Sack
• Stretch Binding at Cuffs
• Drawcord Hem
