BRECKENRIDGE, CO – Italian cyclist Elia Viviani won back to back wins in the USA Pro Cycling Challenge taking the 4th and 5th stages of the race. Americans are currently in the top 5 going into Sunday’s final stage from Golden to Denver with Radio Shack team rider Levi Leipheimer leading the charge with an 11 second lead over the field.

Saturday’s stage 5 race showcased German powerhouse Andy Schleck who looked to be breaking away from the pelaton however with less then 5 miles to go he was joined by Dutchman Laurens ten Dam who started a cat and mouse game to the finish. As the two battled the pelaton caught up and Italian sprinter Elia Viviani charged past the group to take his second win in 48 hours.

Riders battled up and over Rabbit Ears Pass leaving Steamboat Springs as they headed to the finish line in Breckenridge. The entire route was lined was with fans, even in the remote locations. Sunday’s stage 6 from Golden to Denver should see the largest crowds of the event.
