VAIL, CO – The 2010 Teva Mountain Games public bouldering competition Presented by Pyramide saw climbers, gymnast and super-humans trying to complete climbing problems on 32 graded routes. These athletes showed strength, reach and determination that is seldom seen by the public.
The climbers took turns heading up the different man made routes on the bouldering wall. The interesting thing about bouldering is its like climbing minus ropes. If an competitor fell they would hit the mat on the floor below the wall, falls from anywhere between 5 feet up to 30 feet were common throughout the event.

These were some of the strongest most flexible, men woman and children I have ever seen. I was amazed at these athletes pose and lack of fear of heights. This is a sport I would love to get into but just don’t ever look down 🙂
Kudos Vail, VVF and the Teva Games for putting this event on.
