REI Jackson Wyoming Store to Open Summer 2021
JACKSON, WY – The REI Co-Op will open it’s first store in Wyoming in the summer of 2021 in the town of Jackson. With 15,000 square feet of space the REI Co-Op store at the base of the Tetons and entrance to the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks is sure to drive major business.
Along with traditional retail goods for outdoors people. The REI Co-Op Jackson store will feature workshops and classes to help get more people into the outdoors responsibly. Avalanche courses, climbing courses, bike repair, introduction classes and more are available at REI stores in major cities around the country at prices people can afford.
According to Janet Hopkins, REI regional director for the mountain district there are over 40,000 REI members in Wyoming alone, “Jackson is an incredible outdoor community offering year-round activities from world class skiing and snowboarding in the winter to expansive hiking, biking and camping in the summer.”
Odds are large percentage of people visiting Jackson, Wyoming are also REI members or fans of the brand. So it’s a smart play for REI to come into a market that always needs outdoor gear.

The 15,000 square foot REI Co-Op store will be located in the Powderhorn Mall where the old Lucky’s Supermarket had been and Whole Grocer before that. The store is set to to open summer of 2021. Creating some 30 jobs for local outdoors people in Jackson, Wyoming.
