Jones Shralpinist Women’s Bibs Review
The Jones Shralpinist Stretch Recycled Bib is an earth friendly product through and through. Made with 100% recycled material that is sourced from mills certified to be free from harmful chemicals, the zippers are recycled and even the product tag is attached with twine instead of plastic. Buying any of their gear feels as good as it looks and performs.
Why Jones Snowboards?

Jones Snowboards has been an inspiration to my riding from the start; not just with their incredible line of snowboards, but with their passionate and actionable drive for a healthier planet. The outdoor industry would not exist without the outdoors, so it is vital that we as outdoor recreationalists support companies that live and breathe sustainable business practice.
Fit and Feel

I am 5’4 and about 140 lbs, and I typically wear a size 2-4 in jeans. These bibs fit my body very well, but considering that they are a medium, they felt a bit snug to me. That being said, the 4 way stretch is quite impressive making these pants feel super light weight and really not restrictive at all. I personally prefer a bit more space in my bibs so that I can stack on the layers when needed, but for effective movement while touring, I definitely see the benefits of a tighter fit.
These bibs have a long inseam, so they are perfect for taller ladies, and a thick seam at the bottom that allows for about a 3 inch roll up for shorter gals.
Jones Women’s Bib Functions

The material is so silky smooth, and lives up to the claim of 9/10 on the waterproof scale. I took these bibs out on a pretty variable day where we saw sun, snow, and a fair amount of wind. The Shralpinist Stretch Bib from Jones Snowboards is quite thin, so not my ideal choice for a very cold day, (this bib is rated 4/10 on the warmth scale), but definitely a choice for a big day of touring, where I am exerting a lot of energy both on the uphill and downhill, and definitely a top choice for warmer days.
In my opinion, this really is a touring bib over a resort bib; it is designed for steady, dynamic movement more so than riding chairs. There is a double zipper system on both sides of the bib to allow for quick access if you need to do your business, or if you need to cool down. I personally prefer a zipper on my inner thighs for cooling down, as I feel snow tends to creep in on those outer zips, but again I would say this is a touring specific bib, which means it will be as lightweight as possible without too many “extras”.

The Shralpanist bib has two thigh pockets, one back pocket and a double access chest pocket with side and top zippers to allow access to different compartments to keep things tidy. I like to have my beacon in my chest pocket for quick access, and found my beacon to fit just right in the side access compartment on the check pocket. I love how many pockets this bib has, but I would love to see a bit more space in each pockets so that I can grab, and stow things like my beacon, phone, and board scraper with ease.
Pros & Cons
Pros:
Highly Sustainable Construction: The bibs are made entirely from recycled materials sourced from certified mills, use recycled zippers, and even eco-friendly tags, aligning with strong environmental values.
Excellent Mobility & Lightweight Feel: The impressive 4-way stretch fabric makes the bibs feel lightweight, non-restrictive, and ideal for dynamic movement required during ski touring.
Cons:
Limited Warmth & Versatility: They are quite thin (rated 4/10 warmth) and specifically noted as being better for touring or warmer days, not ideal for very cold conditions or primarily resort riding.
Snug Fit & Shallow Pockets: The fit runs snug (the reviewer, typically size S, found Medium snug), potentially requiring sizing up, and the pockets could benefit from more depth for easier gear storage.
Overall Impression
I really love the Jones Snowboards Shralpinist Stretch Bibs ($474.95) for long days of touring! They are designed for smooth and lightweight movement, allowing you to travel efficiently through the mountains. I would probably upsize in these bibs in the future, and would be stoked to see this model come out with a bit more pocket depth! These may not be my everyday bib, but the Shralpanist Bib is a technical piece of gear that is worth the investment for big mountain enthusiasts. I love to support all things Jones Snowboards, because I truly believe that this company. Jones also offers the Shralpinist Jacket to complete the kit.
