Aqua Marina Dhyana Yoga Inflatable Paddle Board Review
The Aqua Marina Dhyana Yoga Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) is specifically tailored to those interested in practicing yoga during their paddle, but its many features make it a fun board for paddlers of all skill levels. The board is thicker and more stable than traditional SUPs, making it perfect for yoga. Beginning paddlers will enjoy the extra stability this board offers as they’re moving through the water.

During our test paddle, the steady balance of the board was very noticeable in comparison to standard narrower SUPs we have tested in the past.
Inflating

The Aqua Marina Dhyana SUP is inflatable and convenient to travel with. Inflating and deflating were quick and easy. We simply connected the hose of the pump to the valve on the board and began pumping. Inflation took less than 10 minutes, although the amount of time may vary depending on the person doing the inflating. The board can be inflated up to 15psi and, because of its drop-stitch material, was firm and remained firm throughout our paddle. The double inflation chambers provided an extra sense of safety and security while we were on the water.

Due to its larger deck, the inflated board must be carried above the head instead of under the arm. It is possible for one person to carry the board, but it is easier with more than one person. If carrying the dock as well, more than one person will be required.
Stability

This Aqua Marina Paddle Board had a smooth glide along the water and made for a pleasant trip. The highlight of this SUP is its stability. In addition to being wider, the deck is fully covered with foot padding, reducing the likelihood of any slips on the water.

This board can glide through the water at a medium speed but will be outperformed by other SUPs in this category. However, it’s intended for more peaceful activities like yoga and will go at a steady pace when paddling.
Deflation was also quick and easy. Once the board initially deflated, folding it and packing it into the backpack super easy. The paddle, pump, and other accessories fit easily into the backpack and we didn’t have to fight to fit everything in. The backpack is ergonomically designed with shoulder pads and is comfortable for longer walks to the water.
Pump

The Dhyana comes with a double-action hand pump, removable slide-in center fin, safety leash, paddle holder, yoga board strap, three-piece aluminum paddle, and three connection straps. The board also comes with a zip-up backpack for easy transport and storage. A dock that can connect up to 8 Aqua Marina Dhyana SUPs is sold separately. The board is 11 feet long, 36 inches wide, and has a depth of approximately 6 inches. The board also comes with a repair kit.
Inflatable Dock Attachments

The Dhyana boards can connect to an inflatable dock (sold separately) that holds up to 8 boards. The boards connect to the dock with hooks. This would be perfect for hosting a yoga class or even for families and friends that want to stick together and enjoy some time on the water. The dock itself can be used as a platform for the yoga instructor. However, it can also be used to make sure that everyone stays together for a more relaxed excursion.
