Right when you think ebike battery range has hit a ceiling, the Fiido Titan Cargo Electric Bike comes rolling along. This SUV-style utility ebike has the unique ability to carry three batteries at once to extend its range to well over 200 miles. But the jury was out on whether the Fiido Titan lives up to expectations or is simply a titanic ebike that’s destined to flop.
I recently got the chance to hop on this ambitious long-range ebike and have included our honest thoughts below.
About Fiido
For the ebike industry geeks out there, you’ve probably heard of the Hong Kong-based brand Fiido before. But for the uninitiated, Fiido manufactures a small fleet of impeccably designed foldable electric bikes and has more recently ventured into the world of larger fat tire ebikes. The brand’s flagship X and D21 foldable models won design awards and are among my favorite models on the market.
Fiido Titan Cargo Bike
The Fiido Titan departs from the brand’s typical foldable and city-oriented models and doubles (or rather triples) down on the utility ebike design. Fiido labels the Titan as a “cargo” ebike but I would place it squarely within the SUV or rugged commuter categories. There’s an included rear rack and options for a front rack, but the Titan doesn’t have the extended wheelbase or longer rack features on pure-blooded cargo bikes.
The aluminum mid-step frame is only available in grey and is recommended for riders 5’0” and taller.
750W Rear Hub Motor
This burly, all-terrain ebike relies on a powerful 750W rear hub motor that performs very well, even when loaded with cargo or additional weight from extra batteries. The motor produces a peak power of 1,130W and 70Nm of torque to effectively reduce strain on the system. Most noticeably, there’s a torque sensor that smoothly delivers power according to pedaling force, instead of a lower-quality cadence sensor included on many similarly priced ebikes.
Riders can toggle between 3 or 5 adjustable pedal assist levels or cruise on the throttle mode up to 28 mph on this Fiido E-Bike.
Fiido Titan 14.5Ah Battery
The standard Fiido Titan comes with a 14.5Ah battery with a reported range of up to 84 miles on a single charge. That’s an ambitious estimation based on the battery capacity, but riding in the lower levels of pedal assist will likely get you most of the way there. One huge plus of the ebike is the battery pack’s UL2849 safety rating. That rating is widely regarded as the gold standard across the ebike industry, so I highly appreciate that Fiido has gone out of its way to meet this optional independent certification.
Dual Battery Rack
The most impressive feature of the Titan, however, is its ability to carry three batteries at a time, effectively extending the ebike’s range to nearly 250 miles! That’s a serious long-range achievement that’s worth a bit of discussion. For several hundred dollars more, customers can outfit the bike with 2 additional batteries that slide into a custom rear rack add-on.
Of course, you can’t ride 200+ miles in a single go— you’ll need to swap out the battery packs when one runs out of juice of the extended battery. I can’t imagine many situations in which riders would need a range extender, but the extra batteries could allow for high-mileage touring for far rides using just the throttle.
How Much Weight Can the Fiido Titan Hold?
The Titan mostly lives up to its categorization as a cargo bike with an included rear rack and option for a front rack. The maximum payload capacity is 440 lbs. including the rider so you can really load this ebike up. I would guess carrying the two additional heavy batteries counts as cargo! During testing, the Titan stood up well to heavy use and would work great while camping, doing deliveries, or riding off-road.
Fiido Titan One-Piece Wheel Design
The unique one-piece wheels give the Titan a special look and remove the possibility of breaking or bending spokes, especially under heavy loads. The Mountain Weekly News has started to see more of this cast wheel design on many of the latest ebikes— I’d say I still prefer traditional spoked rims, though.
There are powerful 4 piston hydraulic disc brakes that are a step up from the standard 2-piston brakes seen typically at this price range. The 26 x 4.0” fat tires float over any terrain and add even more cushion to your ride.
Suspension
Riders can feel confident exploring off-road routes because of the Titan’s fat tires and short-travel suspension fork. It only offers 60mm of travel but that’s enough to take the sting out of bumpy terrain, especially when combined with the high-volume tires. There’s a 9-speed drivetrain for a couple of extra gears compared to the common 7- or 8-speed gearing I would normally expect.
Fiido Titan Built in LCD Display
This rugged beast of an electric bike also features sleekly integrated tech. My favorite detail is the central display screen that’s elegantly built into the stem and Fiido even included a headset cover for a cleaner finish. The battery can be locked via the Fiido app or unlocked via a passcode entered on that handlebar display, ensuring you always have control over your ebike.
The large headlamp embraces a kind of motorcycle-style design, meaning it’s big and bright. It illuminates far ahead of the bike for increased visibility range at night. The included rear LED is nothing to write home about but gets the job done effectively.

- Heavy: The bike itself weighs a lot, making it difficult to maneuver for some riders.
- Large Size: May not be suitable for smaller riders or tight storage spaces.
- Limited Warranty Information: No information on warranty terms was provided in the article.
- Three Battery Setup Impractical: 250+ mile range may be unnecessary for most riders and adding batteries is expensive and adds weight.
- One-Piece Wheels: Less common design, may be harder to find replacement parts.
Overall Impression
For ebike riders chasing the longest range out there, the Fiido Titan ($1,699.99) is the outright winner. The unique three-battery setup will cost you a pretty penny but you simply won’t find it anywhere else, so for high-mileage users, it may be worth the extra cash. The entire all-terrain fat tire setup embraces a go-anywhere attitude that’s a whole bunch of fun on two wheels.
Fiido went out on a leg with this one and I’m impressed with the design, even if 240+ miles isn’t a ride I plan on doing anytime soon.
