Skullcandy Push ANC Active Blast The Good Vibes

On a recent mountain bike trip to Sedona, Arizona and directly after to the wild trails of New Zealand and then back to the Tetons I had the distinct pleasure to test out the Skullcandy Push ANC Active Earbuds out courtesy of Mike the wizard knowing I needed them without me knowing I would needed them. I’m sure one can relate with that previous sentiment.

Sometimes you do not know what you’re missing out on until a piece of gear hits in precisely the right way for the situation you find yourself lucky enough to be in to benefit from such a wonderful friend/co worker/associate that granted you the opportunity by passing along the product.

With a sound price tag one must understand these headphones are worth the value. Equipped with a charging cable, four different sizes of replacement ear tips and a very helpful manual on all operation instructions these headphones set you up to succeed.

Skullcandy vs AirPods

My previous and still current other earbuds are the Apple AirPods, newest version. Although a great product these Push ANC Active headphones raise the bar especially from a performance in the field standpoint. These headphones although not quite as loud overall sound quality is far superior; crisp, clean and pleasant as they only go up to what I would consider a healthy volume.

The Push ANC Active Headphones from Skullcandy posses a deep bass which for a Reggae enthusiast such as myself has a huge upside when the riddims’ start hitting on trail/slope or walking thru Babylon system. They also possess clear meds and highs with a 1.2 mm driver which stays on brand with having great bass. The comfort and dialed in fit are second to none. I was wearing them while mountain biking ascending and descending all of Sedona’s chattery, death defying desert style trails and the headphones performed flawlessly.

Battery Life and Ease of Use

The battery life is phenomenal which makes sense considering one of the only drawbacks of this product which is the slightly cumbersome charging case. That being said, the case is overbuilt feeling sturdy and of a higher quality then for instance, Apple air pods. The physical buttons are a really nice touch. There are two buttons for volume up and down along with a digital touch button on each earbud. This makes thing precise, convenient and far more efficient in comparison to other products in the same market that tend to accidentally do things and at certain times feel like they have a mind of their own if you follow me.

Overall Impression

In summary, the Skullcandy Push ANC Active Headphones are an excellent product. I have all good things to say and continue to produce more great feedback the more I use them. I typically do not listen to music while Mountain Biking, occasionally on the up hills but with these headphones, I’ve found they really are reliable in staying in and providing optical clarity to such a controlled degree that I can feel comfortable that I am still able to be in touch with the environment and myself in outside being in my headphones.
