A Multi Sport Test of the POC Fovea Goggles in the Tetons
Life in the surrounding mountains of Jackson Hole, Wyoming provides a wide spectrum of opportunities to explore the outdoors. The pursuit indulges us with multi-sport days presenting a common dilemma, the accumulation of specific gear for a variety of different interests.
The POC Fovea Goggles have become one of my new favorites. This comfortable triple foam goggle performed as beautifully as its aesthetic.
POC Fovea Goggle Performance

The universal lens was versatile for XXC skiing Our Husky, resort riding and surprisingly, even on point for snowmobiling.
I found the frame to be flexible yet secure to prevent fogging. As we broke trail gliding through the forest, my view was flawless. The ventilation allowed for continued peripheral sharpness even as we pushed hard to exert our active pooch, King.
In the following storm cycle, we decided to hit up a resort. We experienced a knarly wind-blown ride up to start our session, then it eventually cleared up for a late bluebird afternoon. The exceptional contrast was clutch as we ducked into the trees for some soft lines. Shifting light made it easy to appreciate just how functional these multi use goggles are.

Since our winters have a way of producing unexpected windows of opportunities to sneak away for some quick rips, when it’s on, it’s time to go sledding. What surprised me about this POC goggle was the conversion to my snowmobile helmet. Playing late, we came out of the woods with the shadows growing long as the sun set. Our lengthy approach out got darker, challenging how the goggles would perform through the blowing night snow.
We were greeted by the trail groomer’s bright lights on his evening shift headed in. The Fovea goggle exceeded my expectations. I was impressed with crisp definition while we ripped down to the trailhead in the dropping temps. My face felt protected from the elements with the snug fit inside my helmet.
POC Fovea Lens

POC thoughtfully crafted the Fovea goggle lens with a dirt and water-resistant treatment. As an added bonus, these lenses provide complete UV protection with an anti-scratch and antifog function. Since it comes in several different flavors of tints and mirrors, I was thrilled to see this POC product be this versatile for multi-activities. This fit the bill to now be a go-to in my quiver.
