I just recently got rid of my heavier mid layer and have been slowly looking for a replacement. Mike asked if I would test out the new Jones Men’s Re-Up Recycled Down Jacket (hoodie as Jones calls it) All things I have used with the Jones Snowboards brand attached to it has been top notch and I could not pass up the opportunity to test out the most tech hoodie I have ever worn.

I usually do not say this but I was not a fan out the box. The hoodie is a large which I normally wear, and it fit really well except around my elbows which was oddly a tight spot. It was the same complaint I had about my previous mid-layer except that it was a medium. It also seemed to be rather loud when moving around in the jacket.

At this point I put it back on the shelf. I had noticed my wife wearing it around the house a bit. I couldn’t help but realize how much I liked the way this jacket looked. So, I gave it a second shot..

I’m so glad I put this jacket back on. It just seemed like it needed some break in. Some how the pinch points around the elbows have relaxed and the 750-Down Fill material has broken in and quieted down. This hoodie is full of tech from the helmet compatible hoodie (elastic around hood) to the zip into chest pocket. All this tech in a jacket I want to wear all the time makes it next to impossible to just have it as the backpack coat. You can rock this all winter long!

The Sierra Brown color this season goes with any color for a night out on the town or if you are taking the long road to Dornan’s you can look pretty darn cool doing it in the Jones Re-Up. This will be my go-to from big Splitboard missions on my Jones Stratos Split to nights out this hoodie has a use from tech to looking good on date night.

Overall Impression

Packed with tons of tech, style and not to be forgotten sustainably made, the Jones Snowboards Re-Up 750 Down Hooded Jacket ($329.95) is not to be overlooked when shoping for your new go to hoodie/puffy insulated jacket. I highly recommend getting this years colorway as we do not know what next year will hold and this color is unique and stylish all in one.
