New for the 2025 snowboard season comes the Ride Moderator Snowboard. Taking some of the best snowboard design functions of the Ride Deep Fake Snowboard and enhancing it for a true all mountain snowboard.

Ride Moderator Directional Extra Camber Profile

The Ride Moderator Snowboard is built around a camber profile that ride calls Extra Camber. This snowboard profile has camber under the majority of the board with a little rocker at the nose. I found the Moderator Snowboard with the the Extra Camber performed like a traditional camber snowboard and thanks to a little rocker in the nose it had no problem floating over deep snow.

The Extra Camber Profile on this directional snowboard allowed me to stomp airs with confidence and when I needed to stop the snowboard or let it run out at full speed I had total confidence in the Ride Moderator even on my first run. The board felt like I was reuniting with an old lost friend.

Ride Moderator Thin Con Construction

One of the first things you notice about this tapered snowboard is just how thin the construction is. Ride Snowboards has figured out a way to eliminate massive amounts of the snowboard that weren’t needed.  The benefits are less materials are used creating the board, which in turn cuts down on the overall snowboard weight.

Ride took it a step further by figuring our a way to add the boards graphics directly onto the fiberglass once again cutting down on materials while keeping the Ride Moderator Snowboards weight to a minimum.

For a mostly camber snowboard with the weight savings I didn’t feel like the snowboard was riding me, instead at 155 lbs. I was able to easily control the Ride Moderator Snowboard with light fast cat type responses.  When I snowboard I like to be light on my feet and not have to power the board down the mountain. One of my favorite professional snowboarders to watch really shows this cat like light weight approach to snowboarding, his name is ~ Blake Paul who happens to now be riding Ride Snowboards.

For dampening the board features SlimWalls which are a basically reinforces SlimeWalls featuring urethane material in the sidewall that doubles as a shock absorber.  This sort of gives the board a spring, or hop to it so when you do jump off something the boards ready to suck up some of the impact even if your knees aren’t ready.

I was truly ripping on this board even on the first few runs. It felt natural, easy to control and was able to be ridden hard when needed or cat like to slash turns and surf powder.

The board was also very fast even when on the flats riding cat tracks thanks to a sintered stone ground race base. For the base instead of traditional black, Ride opted for tie dye in color which really pops and stands out against white snow

Carbon Array 3

The Ride Moderator Snowboard features 3 strips of carbon under each binding that are tapered towards the tip and tail. This allowed for extremely fast twitch movements of the board. If your in the air and need to re-adjust, no problem. Same could be said for setting up to jump off cliffs. This Ride Snowboard doesn’t take much setup time, and the response time is as fast as you can think with no real delay. Want to go left and fast, boom your already there.

For people that are focused on jumping off cliffs or sending big kickers the ability to make fast twitch micro adjustments on this snowboard will be notable.

How Durable it the Ride Moderator Snowboard?

Ride added Single Impact Plates under the bindings in areas where people have been known to break boards. This combined with the reinforced urethane in the SlimWalls on the Ride Moderator Snowboard will help to keep the riding life longer on this board.  The only thing I can see happening is without added layers of sidewall or bulky top sheets like other snowboards in the industry if you do end up hitting a solid object like a tree or slam into a rock the board will show signs of damage. This is basically like the Ferrari of snowboarding, treat it with respect and you have a board that will last a long time. Slam this Ride Snowboard into things and it simply won’t last.

The Ride Moderator Snowboard for 2025 will be available in 10 total snowboard sizes ranging from:

smallest in the 144cm, 148cm, 151cm, 155cm, 157cm, 159cm, 162cm and in wide sizes 157w, 161w, and 167w in the largest.
