The Black Crows Camox Birdie is an all mountain ski for hard charging ladies who love making big, fast turns. When conditions get variable, grab this ski and hit the mountain with speed.

At 97mm underfoot, the Camox Birdie transitions quickly edge to edge, and performs well on hard pack and groomers. The types of terrain this ski thrives is in big open terrain.

The combination of progressive flex in the tip and tail, stiff underfoot camber, and the long turning radius makes the Black Crows Camox Birdie want to initiate turns at high speeds. If you like bumps or tight trees, you may want a ski with a shorter turning radius, but for making big, fast turns, this ski will make you feel stable and stoked.

Who’s The Ski For?

The Camox Birdie provides a bit of forgiveness, although I wouldn’t say it’s the most suitable for the beginner skier who may still be working on skiing in the front of their boots. This ski wants to be driven, or it might work you. The more center-mounted design combined with the minimal taper in the tail does make the tail hard to release in tight steep bumps and trees.

Black Crows Camox Birdie Ski Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Quick edge-to-edge transition
  • Stable at high speeds
  • Felt solid and fun to ski fast

Cons:

  • Not ideal for beginners
  • Hard to release in tight bumps
