Get stoked, skiers & shredders! After a hiatus last year, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) is bringing back the legendary Kings & Queens of Corbet’s competition, and this year it’s gonna be bigger, badder, and more epic than ever before. With over 200 inches of pow already dumped and more on the way, the stage is set for some serious hucking at Corbet’s Couloir from Feb 8-16, 2025.

This isn’t your average comp; it’s a showcase of raw talent, fearless creativity, and straight-up sending it. This year marks a major milestone with the introduction of separate ski and snowboard categories, ensuring that each discipline gets its due respect. And to sweeten the deal, JHMR is throwing down a $50,000 prize purse!

JHMR is pulling out all the stops with an insane athlete lineup, including five past champions ready to defend their crowns and a gaggle of up-and-comers hungry for the throne.

Defending champs Colby Stevenson and Claire McPherson are back to prove they’ve still got the fire, while former Kings and Queens Karl Fostvedt, Piper Kunst, and Veronica Paulsen are hungry to reclaim their titles.

But the competition doesn’t stop there. The ski field is stacked with heavy hitters like Olympic bronze medalist Alex Beaulieu-Marchand and two-time X Games medalist Alex Hackel. On the snowboard side, four-time Olympian Sarka Pancochova and Freeride World Tour podium finisher Erika Vikander are ready to throw down, while Olympian Yuki Kadono, a Jackson Hole athlete, brings his big-air expertise to the mix.

Speaking of local talent, Victor, Idaho’s own Wyatt Gentry is ready to rip, bringing his unique style to the couloir. He’s no stranger to big air, with an IF3 Film Festival nomination to his name.

Here’s a closer look at some of the athletes:

  • Colby Stevenson: This Monster Energy athlete is a slopestyle and big air guru. The 2023 King of Corbet’s, Olympic silver medalist, and X Games gold medalist.

  • Alex Hackel: A creative urban freestyle skier with progressive moves.

  • Alex Beaulieu-Marchand: From Quebec City, an Olympic bronze medalist looking to dominate Corbet’s.

  • Yuki Kadono: Yuki Kadono, a six-time X Games medalist from Japan, is best known for landing the first-ever back-to-back 1620s in competition.

  • Wyatt Gentry: A breakout star with multiple podium finishes, he brings local knowledge and big mountain prowess to the mix.

  • Ulrik Badertscher: A pioneer in technical big air tricks. This Monster Energy athlete is one to watch!
