The Euybike F8 electric bike gives a big boost to classic beach cruisers, including a powerful rear hub motor and vibrant color options. The step-thru e-bike embraces comfort and style with an integrated passenger seat to double the fun. The F8 is far from the first cruiser-style e-bike I’ve tested but this model slots in as one of the best values for recreational riders or families. Keep scrolling for a deeper dive into the details and test notes from my time with the Euybike F8.

The Euybike F8 is a modern take on vintage, boardwalk-loving cruisers with the addition of a rear hub motor, a large external battery, and rugged fat tires. It’s definitely a beefed-up beach cruiser but retains the elegant look with its curved frame and bold colors. Riders can opt for the standard gray, but the seafoam green and royal blue options are much more interesting choices with their painted rims and fenders, whitewall tires, and battery decals.

Euybike markets the F8 model as “suitable for women and everyday commuting rides” but I think that description is too narrow and, honestly, not that accurate. We have long been in the age of unisex bicycles by now and the only women-specific feature is the step-thru frame, in theory. However, that distinction is already outdated since step-thru frames are great options for all cyclists, especially those with limited mobility to hop on and off more easily. As a guy, I wanted to keep this bike after the test rides!

In terms of serving as a commuter e-bike, I think the F8 is better suited to recreational rides, family rides, and errands around town. The bike’s burly tires and large footprint aren’t as efficient while weaving in city traffic and there’s no way to install a rear rack because of the built-in passenger seat. The F8 is still a super versatile e-bike that can work for almost any type of rider to explore the beach, around town, and even off-road trails.

Rear Passenger Seat

One of the main highlights of the F8 is the built-in rear passenger seat. The seat has a thick cushion as well as a sturdy backrest, though you’ll need to purchase additional foot pegs to enjoy the most comfortable ride. The seat is rated for up to 200 lbs. so it’s not only for carrying kids! This makes the F8 a great option for families who want the flexibility to double up on bike rides or trips into town. As a twin myself, I would have loved to use this bike for some sibling fun and zooming around the neighborhood!

Front Suspension

The F8 e-bike does come with a short-travel front suspension fork to add a bit more cushion to your ride. While not a premium fork by any stretch of the imagination, the suspension and fat tires achieve a very smooth and stable ride. The accessible step-thru frame design and riser handlebars also contribute to an upright riding position that’s easy to handle, even for less confident riders.

28 MPH Top Speed

The F8 gets its speed from a 750W rear hub motor that’s capable of pushing out a top pace of 28 mph and around 72 Nm of torque. Riders can use the e-bike in 5 pedal-assist levels or throttle mode. Something that surprised me while setting up the e-bike is that there are tons of adjustable settings like pedal assist and acceleration sensitivity— a premium-feeling feature that’s not common among entry-level e-bikes. During testing, I noticed that the F8 boasts some seriously fast pick-up-and-go to get you zooming from a full stop in no time. The throttle is a half-twist design integrated into the ergonomic grips.

Battery Capacity

The large, externally mounted 20Ah battery is immediately noticeable on the F8. It’s up to you to decide whether the battery pack is an eyesore, but it does provide a generous range of up to 50-80 miles depending on riding modes. I would have liked to see a slimmer battery yet I don’t mind the external pack that preserves standard frame tube thickness, especially on cruisers known for their more elegant curves. Euybike spices up the battery design on the green and blue models with some colored decals, too.

Weight

The Euybike F8 weighs in at 78 lbs. which is fairly standard for bikes of its category. Remember that it’s heavy enough to require the use of a heavy-duty e-bike rack if transporting the F8 by car. For a relatively hefty e-bike with so many added parts, the F8 handles great and consistently felt fun during testing. The maximum payload including the rider is 400 lbs.

The F8 takes classic cruiser-style balloon tires to a whole new level, rolling on oversized 20 x 4.0” fat tires. The knobby tread pattern seems like overkill for a bike designed mainly for paved surfaces but it can inspire some fun off-road detours. Style-conscious riders will love the whitewall tires available on the green model and the painted rims and fenders on the green and blue F8 versions. There are also high-quality Logan 180mm hydraulic disc brakes for more controlled stopping power. The F8 runs a Shimano 7-speed system for a decently wide range of gears.

In terms of included tech, there are integrated lights on both the front and rear. The rear light also functions as an automatic brake light. During testing, I took note that the integrated horn button is seriously loud! The display screen sits in the middle of the handlebars and is plenty capable without being futuristic or overcomplicated.
