Ombraz Dolomite Armless Sunglasses Review
I’ve been wearing Ombraz sunglasses for some time now and these things are great. As someone who spends a lot of outdoors, I need sunglasses that offer excellent protection, comfort, and durability. The Ombraz Dolomite sunglasses deliver on all fronts.
Design and Comfort

The first thing that stands out about Ombraz is the armless design. Instead of traditional temple arms, these sunglasses use an adjustable cord that wraps around your head. This unique feature ensures a secure and comfortable fit, even during intense activities. I found that the cord’s adjustability allowed me to achieve the perfect fit, and reduced the pressure points associated with side arms. Also, because the cord goes around your head you can take these sunglasses off at anytime and they just swing around your neck. This is a game changer for sport sunglasses.
This time around I got to test out the side shields which were perfect for glacier travel. These shields are built out of flexible rubber and limit additional light from getting in; think snow and reflective surfaces. The shields went on with no problems and were comfortable as ever. I forgot I was wearing them.
Lens Quality

The lenses on the Dolomites were top-notch. I went with the polarized grey lens which was great for reducing glare on the snow. The lenses provide excellent color accuracy and contrast, allowing me to see details clearly and make the most of the natural light. Additionally, the lenses are scratch-resistant, which is a huge plus given the rough environments I often find myself in.
Durability
Durability is perhaps the defining feature of Ombraz. Because the glasses have no arms half of the battle is eliminated. But Ombraz does not stop there. Their frames are somewhat flexible and the lenses are tough. I have beat the living hell out my glasses and they still appear new. These things are tough… great job Ombraz.
Portability

The armless design also makes the Dolomite incredibly portable. They can be easily folded flat and stored in a compact case, taking up minimal space in my bag. This is a huge advantage when I’m packing gear for a shoot and need to maximize every inch of storage.
Style
I think the Dolomite’s look great. You can look at the photos and decide for yourself.
