I tested the Fox Ranger Cargo Shorts 12″ in Colorado on daily bike rides to and from work as well as out on the trail and even on a couple of cool long road bike rides. Find out how these shorts held up in these conditions :
Fox Ranger Cargo Shorts
If you are looking for a great, durable biking short, check out the Fox Ranger Shorts. I have been impressed with the quality and comfort, as well as the style and durability. Fox makes the best cycling shorts for men.
The Fox Ranger MTB Shorts come with a detachable Chamois and an abrasion-resistant fabric. Great for mountain biking, hiking or hitting Red Rocks for a concert after work. The Fox Ranger Shorts have cargo pockets and are designed to work with your media player.
Fox Ranger Shorts Pros & Cons

- Durable biking short with great quality
- Comfortable and stylish with cargo pockets
- Abrasion-resistant fabric for mountain biking
Cons:
- Not suitable for extreme weather conditions
- Detachable Chamois is not very padded
Overall Impression
The Fox Ranger Cycling Short ($89) comes in 12-inch or 10-inch lengths. I have put these shorts through the wringer and they have held up. The interior waistband is adjustable allowing the rider to always get the right fit. I sometimes ride with a belt, but not always and this function allows me to get the right fit on my shorts anytime.
