If you’re new to the Blundstone brand, the #2055  Blundstone All Terrain Chelsea Boots has what you need for a comfortable everyday boot that’s also ready to head off the beaten path.

You won’t need another pair of boots.

Blundstone covers every base from lace up dress boots to steel toed boots for firefighters. Every boot in-between has the same features and feel that make Blundstones a staple in closets worldwide.

The #2055 is a Blundstone All Terrain Boot. The noticeable differences in this boot compared to their other Blundstone models are also the features that make their designs so ubiquitous. In every Blundstone you get a rubber Vibram Megagrip Outsole. The #2055 however has a tread pattern with flex points that allow debris to be released from the sole as it bends.

The iconic pulltabs of the boot are securely sewn into the premium water resistant leather upper. Fresh out of the box, the leather and elastic are taught. As you break in the boot, the leather becomes worn in and soft, but not worn out. The elastic retains its shape well as the boot ages. I’ve had previous Blundstones for almost three years and while the leather has a nice worn feel and look, I’m still secured.

The elastic and seams are not weather sealed on the Blundstone All Terrain Boot, but the leather provides good protection when things get wet. If you clean and treat the leather regularly, the boot will hold up for years to come. The footbed is also removable and washable. You can pick up Blundstone’s sheepskin liner for the winter.

Unfortunately, after just one winter I found my sheepskin liner peeling on my Blundstone All Terrain Boots and ready to be replaced.

Blundstone Leather All Terrain Boots Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Won’t need another pair of boots
  • Covers every base for diverse needs
  • Comfort and durability for everyday wear

Cons:

  • Sheepskin liner may peel after one winter
  • Elastic and seams not weather sealed

Overall Impression

The Blundstone All Terrain Boots ($244.95) aren’t a lot different from its counterparts and that’s because quality and construction is top-notch across the board and you still get the legendary Blundstone comfort and durability we have all known to come and love.

There is a mix-up in this article:
“In every Blundstone you get a rubber Vibram Megagrip Outsole. The #2055 however has a tread pattern with flex points that allow debris to be released from the sole as it bends.”

Not all Blundstones come with the Vibram outsole, only this and 3 other specific all-terrain models which you pay extra for. But all come with the debris releasing tread pattern.
