ROKA Lens Technology

The ROKA AT-1 comes with C3i Optics that are Z87+ tested and validated for ballistic protection. Your eyes are important, take protection seriously. In addition to Z87+ the lenses come with high quality coatings including:

  • Front and back-side hydroleophobic coatings to keep moisture from sticking on the lens
  • Front and back-side anti-scratch protection
  • Multi-layer anti-reflective back-side coating
  • Anti-fog coating on the back of the lens
  • Multi-layer mirror coating

I went with the gold mirror lens and found it perfect for medium to bright days on the snow. The anti-fog coating was a game changer for me when touring.

In addition to ballistic tested lenses the ROKA AT-1 comes with a TR-90 nylon frame. This frame is extremely lightweight and durable. The sunglasses weigh in at 31 grams and can take a tremendous beating.

ROKA AT-1 Fit and Features

One of the standout features of the ROKA AT-1 sunglasses is their precision fit. They have a controlled curve that fit my head much better than the average sunglasses. The lenses fully covered my eyes and I forgot I was wearing sunglasses at all in the bright snow.

I also loved the Geko no slip retention system. This is a ribbed rubber section on the arms of the sunglasses that keep these sunglasses attached to your head during any activity.

ROKA AT-1 Sunglasses Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • High-quality lenses with multiple coatings
  • Lightweight TR-90 nylon frame
  • Precision fit and Geko no slip system

Cons:

  • Not suitable for low light conditions
  • May be expensive for some users

Overall, the ROKA AT-1 Sunglasses are a great option for anyone who needs high-quality, rugged sunglasses. You never know what tomorrow will throw at you but you can be sure the Z87+ protection has you covered. ROKA is known for making great prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses and were pretty darn stoked to be testing their optics as of late!
