Ride Snowboards Deep Fake Snowboard Review
The Ride Deep Fake Snowboard is the do it all top to bottom crusher designed for advanced intermediate to expert riders that likes to go fast, hammer the snow hard and enjoy floating effortlessly on the deepest of days.
Who’s This Snowboard For?

With a Directional Extra Camber profile that puts camber throughout most of the board, some rocker in the nose and a flat tail this snowboard is best for experienced riders and those that prefer a mostly camber dominate profile. Before looking up the board for the review I would have guessed it was all camber, as the Ride Deep Fake is one of the faster, more stable boards I have ever tested.
For someone looking for this same shape with a little more freesystle friendly and softer overall feel, the Ride Moderator Snowboard I tested is one you’ll want to check out.
Unique Sidecut

Ride utilized some new snowboard technology in the Deep Fake Snowboard for 2025 called Tapered Linear Quadratic Sidecut. This sidecut is not the same from the nose of the board to the tail. The top of the sidecut near the nose is rounded whereas the back of the sidecut towards the tail is flat.
This sidecut blend allows for easy lifting of the nose when surfing in powder and then offers really nice edge hold and stability on turns when the flat sidecut engages lower on the board. I really liked how I was able to get the board sideways on toe side turns with the Tapered Linear Quadratic Sidecut. In fact at times it almost felt like my turns were able to go back uphill when leaning into the Ride Deep Fake Snowboard.
For people that like to ride hard and fast, this sidecut and overall profile is something agressive riders can trust and rely on.
Slim Walls Updated

Ride’s Slim Wall’s have been industry leaders for over a decade and were known for offering a fun lively board that had lots of response and was really fun to jib around on. For the Ride Deep Fake, the brand changed up the Slim Wall construction a bit to better suit the overall design and stiffness of this board. Enter the Metal Slim Walls.
With the metal version you get added durability, added strength, and really strong edge hold when going mach 10. Ride took something that was noodly and added some serious strength to the sidewalls. This is 30 years worth of snowboard designs from Ride Snowboards coming to life to make a board even the best riders on the planet can appreciate.
I really enjoyed the pop this board offered when combining the Slim Wall and Camber design. I ride heavy on my back foot and this allowed for massive ollies, tons of pop and when it came to landing off cliffs and jumps the board just always seemed to land where it was supposed to and had the ability to ride out of just about any landing. Trust this board!
Ride Deep Fake Sizing

Regular Sizes: 144cm, 148cm, 151cm, 155cm ,157cm, 159cm, 162cm
Wide Sizes: 157W, 161W, 165W
I paired the Deep Fake with a set of Burton Cartel Bindings which being a stiffer binding were able to handle the overall feel and flex of the 2025 Ride Deep Fake. So I would highly recommend using a set of bindings with support regardless of what size Deep Fake you opt for.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
Excellent Stability and Edge Hold at High Speeds: The combination of the directional extra camber profile (mostly camber with some nose rocker and flat tail), the Tapered Linear Quadratic Sidecut (rounded in the nose, flat towards the tail), and the Metal Slim Walls makes this board incredibly stable and provides strong edge hold, particularly at high speeds. It’s “one of the faster, more stable boards” I’ve tested. This is ideal for aggressive riders who like to carve hard and fast.
Powerful Pop and Reliable Landings: The board’s “massive ollies” and “tons of pop,” thanks to the combination of the Slim Wall and camber design. It’s also praised for its ability to handle landings off cliffs and jumps, consistently landing where expected and riding out of various situations. This makes the board suitable for riders who enjoy jumps, drops, and aggressive backcountry riding.
Cons:
Not Ideal for Freestyle: While the board is praised for its stability and responsiveness, it is explicitly stated that it is not as freestyle friendly. The Ride Moderator as a better choice for those looking for a similar shape with a softer, more freestyle feel. This implies the Deep Fake’s stiffer, more aggressive design might not be the best fit for park riding, jibbing, or riders who prefer a more playful and forgiving board.
Geared Towards Advanced/Expert Riders: The description clearly states the board is designed for “advanced intermediate to expert riders” who like to “go fast, hammer the snow hard, and enjoy floating effortlessly on the deepest of days.” Meaning it might be too demanding or challenging for beginner or intermediate riders who don’t have a strong foundation in carving or aren’t comfortable at high speeds. The aggressive profile and design might be difficult for less experienced riders to handle or control.
Overall Impression

With a setback stance that is ready to smash powder, a camber dominate profile, and aggressive overall board feel the Ride Deep Fake Snowboard ($699.95) is perfect for anyone that likes to ride hard, drive the board around the mountain on deep days, on technical terrain and even for going warp speed on groomers. Ride Snowboards has been around for a while and that progression in the sport is clearly shown in the 2025 Deep Fake Snowboard.
