The VOITED Slumber Jacket has been a delightful addition to my camping collection, offering a unique blend of style, functionality, and comfort. This ingenious combination of a jacket and sleeping bag has proven to be a reliable companion during my adventures.
When I first saw this jacket, I thought it would be incredible for car camping, but not much else. I was mistaken. The VOITED Slumber Jacket has found its way into my car and accompanies me everywhere. It’s the perfect layer to jump in after any chilly activity or hanging out in when the sun starts dipping below the horizon. Whether I just got back from a river session or want to enjoy an evening bbq, the Voited Slumber Jacket has me covered.
I travel often and though unlikely, you never know when your car could break down or when you could end up stranded. Keeping the Slumber Jacket in my car makes me feel good knowing that I have a warm place to sleep if things go south.
VOITED did an excellent job designing the Slumber Jacket. This unique sleeping bag jacket combo is surprisingly easy to transition between. Simply unzip the back end of the jacket and pull out the foot compartment for the ultimate sleeping machine. There are buttons for stowing the foot compartment which are slightly tedious. I’ve opted not to button the foot compartment and haven’t had any troubles.
I’ve found this jacket/sleeping bag combo dreamy for car camping situations or times when a sleeping bag seems like overkill (surprisingly often in the summer months). I love the little stuff sack it comes with which keeps it compact and tidy (in my car at all times).
The Slumber Jacket is equipped with VOITED’s innovative PrimaLoft RISE insulation, which provides exceptional warmth and durability while remaining lightweight. Much to my surprise the Slumber Jacket is rated to 23 degrees F or -5 degrees C as a sleeping bag. I haven’t yet tested it in temperatures this low but I can verify that this jacket keeps you toasty.
Moreover, the jacket’s REPREVE polyester shell is water-resistant, a crucial feature for unpredictable weather conditions. In addition to it’s functionality, I love the Slumber Jacket’s look. It’s fashionable, large and can stand its own on any outdoor outing. I decided to go with the cardinal navy colorway.
I’m 6’1” and tested out the size medium. As a jacket it fit great, even a little big, which I love for a jacket that goes down to my knees. As a sleeping bag it was comfortable, but my feet were at the end. The medium jacket is likely best for 5’10 and below.
In conclusion, the VOITED Slumber Jacket ($215.00) is a great, versatile outerwear option that excels in any outdoor outing. Its combination of warmth, water resistance, and thoughtful design makes it a great investment for outdoor enthusiasts wanting to have a fun free summer. I highly recommend the Slumber Jacket for those seeking a warm companion for their outdoor endeavors.
