lululemon Align High Rise 25″ Pants Review

I was a bit nervous when I first received the lululemon Align High Rise 25” Pants: they look like they are made for a child! I am 5’6 and weigh 145lbs, and typically wear a size 2 in pants. To my surprise,  I slipped into these leggings with ease and found that they fit in a way that almost feels like an extension of my body. These lululemon leggings are lightweight, and hug in all the right places, without feeling like too tight of a squeeze. I could bend, twist and bind without feeling like I needed to make many adjustments.

How to Wear the Align High Rise Pants

Something to keep in mind is that these pants are super lightweight, so you’ll need to be mindful of what undergarments you choose to wear. You might even choose to skip an undergarment all together with the reassurance that you will be held in a buttery soft, supportive pair of leggings. Another point to note is that because these pants are so lightweight, I did find them occasionally rolling down on my body, so a few minor adjustments did come up with this fabric.

lululemon for Yoga Teachers and Students

As a teacher, I try my best to lead by example. I always try to arrive comfortable, feeling confident, and professional! Clothing should be the least of your worries when diving into a yoga class. The Nulu ™ material really allows me to focus on the finer details of my practice, without the distraction of fabric squeezing or bunching in awkward places.  The Nulu ™ material feels almost non-existent, but I am so confident that it will keep me completely covered, (no see through spots!)  allowing me to breathe and flow with ease. The lululemon Align High Rise Pants are teacher approved, and will more than likely find their way off of my mat too.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Unbelievably comfortable, and really couldn’t fit my body any better.
  • So many color and length options, you can even opt for a flare pant.

Cons:

  • So soft you may slip! I found tree pose to be a bit of a slippery slope.
  • Synthetic fabric is quite harmful to the planet!

For Students and Teachers the lululemon Align High Rise Pants are Worth Checking Out! | Photo Mountain Weekly News

I gave the lulullemon Align High Rise 25″ Pants a try in a hot studio and found them to be surprisingly breathable. Personally I love having shorts on for hot yoga, but I would happily bring these pants into a hot room knowing that they will draw moisture away from my skin, actually helping to keep me cool.

Lululemon has set some really inspiring goals for moving forward with innovation of more sustainable business practice which is great to see. They are implementing more recycled material, and sourcing cotton from more sustainable sources! Ultimately though, these pants are primarily made up of nylon and polyester. When considering the planet, I always try to stick to wool, cotton and silk materials.
