WHISTLER, BC – One of the biggest online retailers in the outdoor space Evo, founders of Evo.com has opened their first backcountry ski lodge designed for outdoor enthusiast. The former Callaghan Wilderness Adventures Lodge is being renamed and transitioned into an Evo property known as the Journeyman Lodge.

Evo has gone from an online retailer to brick and mortar standout in the past few years with a total of 8 stores operating in the US and Canada and surely more to follow as the outdoor industry continues to boom. They’ve also been involved in hospitality as of late with the Evo branded LOGE Hotel in Bend, Oregon.

We asked James Beisty, founder of TheGoodRide the premier online snowboard review website his thoughts about the new lodge. “If the lodge is being Evo’tized, I’m all for it.  They did a great job upgrading the low key lodge in Bend”.

Operations of the new Journeyman Lodge kick off October, 5 2021 with a team of folks very familiar with the ski industry.  The Journeyman Lodge sleeps up to 24 guest in 10 private rooms laid our over 5,000 square feet. From rustic to suites there’s a room and price point for just about everyone.

With daily delicious meals, a wood-fired sauna for lounging after a long day in the snow, a pool table, fireplace and more this will be the spot to book with your bros this winter.

Will Evo eventually move into a guided cat and heli ski operation in the future? TBD but with 18,000 acres of public land at the backdoor of the lodge and 22 feet of annual snow anything is possible.  Including incredible guided skiing and splitboarding the human powered kind which the lodge offered in the past.
