Inn on the Creek Review: Jackson Hole’s Hidden Gem for Jacuzzi Soaks & Local Hospitality

Jackson Hole is known for its rugged peaks and bustling Town Square, but just four blocks away from the antler arches lies a quiet sanctuary that feels a world apart. Inn on the Creek isn’t just a place to sleep; it’s where I go for my own local “staycations” when I need to escape the noise, soak in a massive tub, and be treated like family.

While the town sees hotels charging upwards of $1,500 a night, this quaint bed and breakfast offers a slice of old-world hospitality at a price point that actually makes sense—usually ranging between $239 and $500 depending on the season. It’s a hidden gem amongst hidden gems, and frankly, I almost hesitated to write this because I don’t want my favorite Jacuzzi room to be booked solid the next time I need a getaway.

The Vibe: Welcome to the Family

From the moment you walk in, the Inn on the Creek feels less like a hotel and more like visiting your favorite grandmother’s house—if your grandmother lived in a stunning spot along a creek in the Tetons. It has an old-world, warm feel to it. Is the decor ultra-modern chic? No. It has a bit of that vintage charm (some might say older carpet and classic decor), but it feels authentic and cozy rather than dated.

The real magic here is the staff. The owners and team have deep roots in Jackson, and it shows. Sarah, Hailey, and Nate don’t just check you in; they remember your name. They greet you with genuine warmth that makes you feel like a returning relative rather than a credit card number. It’s that level of service—where they remember your preferences from your last stay—that keeps me coming back a few times a year.

The Rooms: Soaking in Solitude

Jacuzzi Fireplace Room

I admit, I am a creature of habit. When I book a stay here, I am almost exclusively looking at the Jacuzzi Fireplace Rooms.

After a long day of skiing at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort or ripping laps at the town hill, Snow King Mountain Resort, nothing beats the in-room setup here. The Jacuzzi tubs are huge—easily fitting one or two people for a proper soak. The King and King Plus rooms feature these signature tubs right next to a fireplace, decorated in soft hues that instantly lower your blood pressure.

If you need more space, they offer Specialty Rooms like the Swan Studio (great for families) or the Osprey Room with an efficiency kitchen. But for me, it’s all about that tub, the fire, and the quiet sound of Flat Creek drifting in from the semi-private balcony.

Dining: The Legendary Cookies & Breakfast

Let’s talk about the cookies. If you stay here, consider this a warning: it is physically impossible to eat just one. Every afternoon, the Inn puts out fresh-baked homemade cookies that are dangerous in the best way possible. Combined with their evening wine and cheese social, the culinary hospitality here punches way above its weight class.

Breakfast is a communal

Breakfast is a communal affair, served in a cozy dining room that encourages conversation with other guests from around the world. It’s quaint and home-cooked, featuring everything from homemade granola and fresh fruit to savory hot dishes. A small but perfect touch? The heated coffee cups. It’s those little details that prove the staff is actually thinking about your comfort.

Location

The Inn is serenely situated on the banks of Flat Creek. You can sit on the back lawn in the summer and watch the waterfowl (swans, ducks, and geese are regulars) or listen to the water flow in the winter.

Despite the serenity, you are walkable to everything. You can leave your car parked and walk four blocks to the world-class dining, shopping, and nightlife of downtown Jackson, then retreat back to the quiet of the creek.

Inn on the Creek Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • The Staff: Sarah, Hailey, and Nate treat you like family.

  • The Tubs: Huge in-room Jacuzzi tubs next to fireplaces are the ultimate post-ski recovery.

  • The Value: Exceptional pricing for Jackson Hole (starting around $279 for Jacuzzi rooms).

  • The Cookies: Seriously, don’t skip the afternoon snacks.

Cons:

  • Vintage Vibe: If you are looking for modern, minimalist luxury, the “grandma’s house” decor might not be your style.

  • Availability: Because it is small and beloved by repeat guests, peak dates book up fast.

If you are coming to Jackson and want a sterile, high-end hotel experience, there are plenty of options. But if you want a place that feels like a home away from home—where the staff knows your name, the hot tubs are hot, and the cookies are fresh—Inn on the Creek is the spot.
