Here we go, Jackson locals and die-hards! I got some great news that’s got the stoke meter cranked to eleven. Get ready to mark your calendars, because our beloved Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is hitting the big six-o, and they’re throwing a party all winter long!

That’s right, sixty years of sending it at Jackson Hole! Decades of tram laps, Corbet’s couloir jitters, and bottomless powder days that have become the stuff of legend. This mountain is our soul, our playground, and this winter marks a huge milestone.

To kick off the 60th-anniversary celebration, JHMR is dropping its lift ticket sale on August 1st at 10 a.m., and you’re going to want to be on it. If you want the best prices for the season, you’ve got until August 31st to lock them in.

But here’s the real kicker, the news that’s got this old-timer seriously stoked. They’re rolling out a few new ways to ski, and one of them is an absolute game-changer. Get this: a January Pass that gets you unlimited skiing for the entire month for just $1,500! Yeah, you read that right. Thirty-one days of lapping the tram, finding secret stashes in the woods, and crushing Rendezvous Bowl until your legs give out. For anyone who can swing a month in paradise, this is an insane deal and a totally unique way to celebrate the 60th.

In the Tetons January’s can be hit or miss, all time or low tide. That being said some of my best powder days in the Tetons have been in early January..

They’re also bringing back some other cool options. The Weekday 3-Day Ticket is perfect for locals who can sneak away mid-week, and the ever-popular Flex 5 Ticket is back for those who want to pack a ton of skiing into a week-long visit. Just remember, the Flex 5 is limited, so don’t sleep on it!

Of course, the mountain is still managing capacity, so you Ikon and Mountain Collective folks will need to make your reservations.

Honestly, it’s incredible to think about the history here. From the early days with Pepi Stiegler to the world-renowned beast it is today, JHMR has always kept that wild, authentic Western spirit. This 60th season feels special. It’s a chance to honor the past while looking forward to the future of this incredible place we call home.

So, get your gear ready, set your alarms for August 1st, and let’s get ready for an all-time 60th-anniversary season. I’ll see you in the tram line.

Hopefully I will see you out there in the Tram / Gondi lines this winter.
