Tenkara Rod Co. Yari Rod Review
The Yari Rod is the first Japanese made rod from the Tenkara Company. It is their official homage to the form of fishing that this company is built upon.
What’s a Tenkara Rod?

Tenkara teamed up with some of the best rod makers in Japan to create a 360cm, lightweight, soft action fly rod. One of the coolest things about this rod if that it telescopes. This means the rod can nest into itself creating a collapsed length of 20.8”.
Rod Weight

At a light 2.3 ounces and having no reel, this rod packs easily if you want to take it into the backcountry to fish some remote mountain streams.
Made of 83% Carbon Fiber, and 17% Fiberglass the rod has 8 segments that telescope out with great ease.
What’s Included

The rod was very easy to set up and another thing I loved was that the package included everything you need to fish.
- Rod,
- Rod Tube,
- Red Rod Sock for Protection,
- 10.5 ft of Level Line,
- 3 Tenkara Flies,
- Wood Line Holder,
- 5x Tippet,

Overall Impression

The Tenkara Rod Co. Tenkara Rod ($325.00) is a win win in my opinion. The carbon fiber & fiber glass mix gives it such a smooth and accurate forward cast with absolutely no wobble. The cork handle is smooth and feels amazing in hand. The construction is sleek yet sturdy.
The price point is well worth it for what you get in overall aesthetics and performance. 10/10 buy this rod. You will absolutely love it.

That is one amazing rod! Fly fishing is not that popular in EU but for me is always a go!
