Every now and then you get gear made for battle to take into your own personal test of will and strength; Gatorz Eyewear’s Magnum glasses are just such special adventure tools. I’m talking metal and Herculean glass. I’m talking a sleek, light pair of eye-wrappers that look like a tank and are about as strong.
What does that mean, though, military-spec glasses made for tactical pros?
Start with the CNC Machined Aluminum Frames. They’re the perfect balance of weight and durability. The Stainless Steel Rivets hold the hinges together while the Cerakote and Anodized coatings lock it all together like a vault.
The lenses are high contrast and scratch resistant. Unlike some glasses, you can actually see digital screens while wearing your Magnums, with a laser defender to protect your eye from various wavelengths of light. The ANSI/MILSPEC certifications mean that these lenses are also impact-resistant for everything from flying rocks to being perfect additions to any shooting adventures, from hunting to dialing in your rifle.
What all of this means is that you will some of the most versatile, hardiest and reliable eye coverings to ever find its way into civilian hands. And let’s not forget one of the most important aspects: They’re American made.

Testing in the Tetons
Yes, I have shot with the Gatorz Eyewear Magnums on, and while they were great, I feel I tested them even more on adventures. Start with a quick but hard, high-altitude hike. There was none of the sweat-rubbing I get in normal glasses. None of the headaches you normally get from tight specs because the Magnums are not only made to be adjustable, they include easy and quick instructions to do so. Just bend them at the right spots.
Later I took them on a long adventure to the top of the Middle Teton. They started off and ended the day in a pocket, getting shuffled around, getting pressure and rubbing and didn’t yet they came out of my pocket like they’d just come out of the store.
As the sun rose and began to beat, it turned my face a redder shade of brown. As I entered a wind tunnel nearing the summit, my hat blew off and I almost blew over yet the glasses never moved. I even slammed into a rock through it and the glasses didn’t even lose a touch of their sheen, didn’t even take on the slightest scratch. They’re all but bulletproof.
After trying Gatorz Eyewear’s Magnum Sunglasses ($200.00), I can only come to one conclusion: these are the most dependable eye-coverings I’ve ever worn. These are reliable glasses I’ll never have to worry about failing me during the moments when I most need eye protection. The Magnums are American ingenuity and technology made manifest, poured into some of the most bombproof eye coverings ever made.
When I can’t bandy about with civilian cool specs, or ironic OD designs, when you absolutely need eye protection just as powerful and rowdy as you are, there’s really only one choice I’ve ever tried: Gatorz Eyewear Magnums. Here to save the frickin’ day.
