Talon T757 Fat Tire E-Bike Review: TETON Tested Budget E-Moto
Not everyone needs the Talon T787’s dual motors and 90-mile range.
For riders looking for the same moto-inspired styling, fat tires and full suspension package at nearly half the price, the Talon T757 hits a sweet spot. We tested the T757 around Jackson Hole and Wilson, Wyoming on pavement, bike paths, gravel roads and light dirt trails to see how the single-motor version stacks up against its bigger brother.

First Impressions

The first thing you’ll notice is how much the T757 looks like a small cafe racer or mini moto.
With its long bench seat, fat tires, dual suspension and oversized headlight, the bike draws attention everywhere it goes.
Unlike many budget e-bikes that look like bicycles with batteries bolted on, the Talon feels purpose-built from the ground up.
Single Motor Performance

Unlike the Talon T787’s AWD dual motor system, the T757 uses a single 750W rear hub motor.
On pavement and gravel paths around Jackson Hole, the motor provided more than enough power for commuting, cruising bike paths and exploring dirt roads.
The bike reaches up to 28 MPH in street mode and can be unlocked for off-road use.
While it doesn’t have the explosive acceleration of the T787, most riders will find the power delivery smoother and easier to manage.
Comfort & Ride Quality

One area where Talon deserves credit is suspension.
The T757 features:
- 125mm Front Suspension
- 50mm Rear Suspension
- 20 x 4.0-inch Fat Tires
Riders looking for a more traditional mountain bike inspired ride should also check out our Aventon Aventure M review.
Together they take the sting out of rough pavement, gravel roads and washboard surfaces.

The long bench seat is one of the most comfortable we have tested in this price category.
NFC Unlock Feature

Unlike most budget e-bikes, the Talon T757 includes NFC unlocking.
Simply tap the included NFC card against the display and the bike powers on instantly.
While it might seem like a gimmick initially, it quickly becomes one of the features you use every ride.
Range & Battery Life

The T757 runs a 48V 13Ah battery capable of delivering up to 40 miles of range depending on terrain and assist level.
Realistically:
- Eco Mode: Up to 40 miles
- Mixed Riding: 25-35 miles
- Full Throttle Riding: Less
For commuting and recreational riding around town, range was more than adequate.

Overall Impression

The Talon T757 is one of the better values we’ve tested in the growing e-moto style e-bike category.
While the T787 remains the monster truck of the Talon lineup, the T757 is easier to transport, easier to maneuver and significantly more affordable.
For commuters, campground cruising, bike path exploration and light trail riding, the T757 delivers a lot of bike for the money.
