The 2026 Lineup: Rock, Americana, and Legendary Hip-Hop
The 2026 season officially kicks off on June 8th with The Black Keys headlining the Jackson Hole Snow King Summit. Their raw, blues-driven garage rock is the ultimate match for a summer night in Wyoming. If you’ve ever caught them live, you know that massive arena-level energy is going to feel absolutely monumental when framed by the Teton range.
As someone who grew up working as a DJ in Southern California many moons ago, the hip-hop bookings on the schedule this year caught me completely off guard in the best way possible. On June 12th, the mountain summit is seeing a full-blown Wu-Tang Clan takeover featuring GZA, Ghostface Killah, and Raekwon, alongside The Pharcyde and Mobb Deep. Witnessing that legendary East Coast Wu-Tang grit operating at 8,000 feet is going to be historic.
And later in August, seeing West Coast icons Too $hort and E-40 on the billing alongside Juvenile? I still know every single lyric. Witnessing these Bay Area and Southern rap legends spitting bars in the middle of the Wyoming backcountry is going to be completely surreal.
On the folk and Americana side—which has always been the acoustic bread and butter of mountain culture—I’m most looking forward to Gregory Alan Isakov on June 23rd. His atmospheric, haunting arrangements feel like they were written specifically to match a sunset dropping behind the Tetons.

The Real Jackson Hole Vibe
Snow King Mountain has been our team’s home base for rugged mountain gear testing for well over a decade. (You can dive deep into the terrain specs in our comprehensive Snow King Mountain Resort Review.

Taking that raw “locals” mountain and building a world-class, state-of-the-art concert stage at 8,000 feet of elevation was a stroke of genius. For the 2026 season, they’ve upped the ante with a heavy-hitting lineup that is as genre-spanning as it is impressive.
Jackson Hole summer culture extends far beyond concerts and ski slopes. For visitors looking to experience the valley’s western heritage firsthand, the Jackson Hole Polo Club offers one of the most unique local traditions beneath the Tetons.
Why Live Music Matters?
Before I was testing technical outdoor gear in the Tetons or running Mountain Weekly News, I spent a decade working on the production side of the music industry. I cut my teeth as a Production Assistant at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado—one of those guys driving the bands around town, running weird midnight errands, and filling those legendary, often bizarre green room artist rider sheets.

During those production years, I got to witness firsthand what truly makes a music venue iconic. It was all about the connection between the crew, the artists, and the crowd. I think back to running production side-stage at the Mile High Music Festival with the late, legendary Widespread Panic equipment manager Garrie Vereen. Garrie had a heart of gold. He saw me sitting there, knew I was a massive fan of the band, and handed me his own set of headphones so I could “listen to the soundboard mix.” To this day, I have never heard Widespread Panic sound so pure.

Later, my late buddy Soren McCarty and I spent years shooting professional concert photography at nearly every major venue across Colorado. In fact, when we launched Mountain Weekly News over 20 years ago, it was built explicitly on two distinct pillars: music and action sports.
So, when I say that the views, the acoustics, and the soul of the Snow King Mountain “King Concerts” Series are on par with legendary venues like Red Rocks or The Gorge, I’m not just blowing mountain smoke. I’ve lived it from the backstage to the photo pit.
